Now Hiring · Illinois

The work you came into this field to do without the parts you didn't.

Most clinicians who join NSPT stay. Not because we're perfect, but because the day-to-day actually matches what was on the careers page. Caseloads you can hold. Supervisors who show up. A team that talks to each other, not past each other.

See open roles

Built by clinicians, in Illinois, since 1999.

North Shore Pediatric Therapy has been growing alongside Chicagoland families for more than 25 years. Eight centers from Arlington Heights to Lake Bluff, more than 250 clinicians and operations team members, and a clinical model that's been refined the only way it can be by people who do the work every day.

We're part of the Gracent network, which means the resources of a larger organization without losing what NSPT has always been: a place where clinicians are trusted to make clinical decisions, supported by a real team, and treated like the professionals they are.

True Interdisciplinary Care

BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, mental health therapists, and neuropsychologists working in the same building, on the same kids, with shared goals not just shared hallways.

BACB Authorized CEU Provider

Free in-house CEUs, plus an annual professional development stipend to use however your growth actually requires.

CASP Member Organization

We hold ourselves to the Council of Autism Service Providers' standards because they're the right ones not because anyone is checking.

Leadership Paths That Actually Move

Most of our Clinical Directors started here as BCBAs. The promotion path isn't theoretical it's the resume of the people running our centers right now.

There's a feeling that's hard to describe on a job posting.

It's the moment a kid uses a word they've never used. The look a parent gives you when their kid says goodbye without melting down for the first time in months. The colleague who walks into your office at 4:45 because they have an idea for the case you've been stuck on.

We can't put that in a benefits package. But it's the reason most of us are here.

What we believe about clinical work.

Every clinic says they care about quality. We've all worked in places where care about quality meant a poster in the breakroom. So instead of telling you we're different, here's what we actually believe and what we've built around those beliefs.

01

Clinical judgment isn't optional.

You earned your credential. You did the supervised hours. You read the literature. We're not going to override your clinical decisions with a template and we're going to give you the autonomy, peer input, and supervisor support to make those decisions well.

02

Mentorship is a verb.

Supervision here isn't a 30-minute box to check. Our Clinical Directors are clinicians first, and they're available for the case you can't stop thinking about not just the one on the schedule.

03

Collaboration that's actually collaborative.

When a kid is on speech, OT, and ABA at NSPT, those three clinicians know each other's names, share notes, and adjust goals together. One child, one plan, three (or four, or five) minds.

04

We're working toward independence, not hours.

The goal of therapy is for therapy to end. Every plan is built around real-life outcomes the kind a kid takes with them to school, to the grocery store, to the dinner table. We measure progress against the life the family is building, not against the slots on the calendar.

CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

The people you'll actually work alongside.

Our Clinical Directors are clinicians first available for the hard cases and accountable to the same standards they hold the team to. Here's some of the leadership you'd meet.

OUR PEOPLE

A team that's actually a team.

More than 250 clinicians, supervisors, and operations team members across the Chicagoland area supporting each other, learning from each other, and showing up for the families we serve. Most of our leaders started as clinicians here. Most of our long-tenured clinicians stayed because the culture earned it.

When I tell people I've been here n years, the first question is always why so long? The answer is the same every time the people. The team I came in with is largely still here. The leaders I started under are now my peers. That's not common in this field.

FROM OUR #KUDOS CHANNEL

Our centers are loud, bright, joyful places.

Spirit weeks. Pizza for a colleague's first independent session. The group chat that lights up when a kid hits a milestone. This is the daily texture of working here and the part that's hardest to convey on a careers page.

OT Fun!

Shout out to Naperville's incredible OT, Kelsey, as she always knows how to make sessions more fun and engaging for her clients! I'm ALWAYS hearing our clients request for OT and Speech (shout out to Michaela!) because they have SO much fun!! Thank you for always keeping our kids on their toes and creating such fun memories.

L
Operation: Mother's Day

Sending a special shout-out to the Deerfield team for making our Home Depot outing, pot painting, and flower planting a success!! We got our clients involved in every step of the process, including shopping. Well done, team! I am proud of our clinic and happy to honor our Moms!

SLP/OT/ABA, in one room

We finally got the three of us in the same room with the same family this week. The mom said it was the first time she'd seen all three of her son's therapists make eye contact with each other. Small thing. Big deal.

Priya, Speech-Language Pathologist, Des Plaines
Pajama Day at Vernon Hills

I have never seen so many BCBAs in matching slippers. The kids thought it was the best day of their lives. Honestly, same.

Casey, Vernon Hills Clinical Director
Saying thank you out loud

Want to publicly thank the entire Deerfield front desk team. The week we were down a coordinator, you held the whole intake pipeline together with rubber bands and grace. Every family that called got a real person, and every clinician that walked in had a schedule that made sense. We see you.

Brianne, Director of Operations
Welcome, new RBTs

Bucktown welcomed three new behavior therapists this week and the team showed up lunch on day one, shadowing on day two, a real conversation about what good looks like on day three. This is how we onboard.

Dana, Chicago/Bucktown Clinical Director
Halloween spirit week, Lincolnwood edition

Our entire Lincolnwood center came as different breakfast foods. There was a waffle. There were three eggs. The kids are still talking about it.

From application to first day.

A clear process, real conversations, and the same honesty we bring to the families we work with.

01

Apply

Send us your application. A real person on our team reads it. If it looks like a fit, you'll hear from us within a few days not a few weeks of silence.

02

A real conversation

Our first call isn't an interrogation. It's a two-way conversation about what you're actually looking for, what the role looks like day to day, and whether the fit is there before we go any further.

03

Meet the team

You'll meet the people you'd actually be working with the Clinical Director, future colleagues, sometimes a center tour. Go deep on the clinical questions that matter to you. We expect you to.

04

Offer & start

Clear, written, no pressure. We walk you through every detail of the offer, give you the space to think it over, and answer anything that comes up. Then we make sure your first day actually feels like a first day, not a paperwork day.

GOOD QUESTIONS

The honest answers.

Things clinicians actually ask us when they're evaluating us. If we missed a question, bring it on your first call we'll answer it the same way.

What does the interview process actually look like and how long does it take?

Application quick phone call within a few days a real 60-minute conversation with the Clinical Director you'd work under optional center tour written offer. Usually about two weeks from first call to offer when both sides want to move. Faster if you do.

How are caseloads structured? What's a realistic number?

We don't oversize caseloads to hit revenue targets. The honest number varies by role, center, and what your week looks like your Clinical Director will give you a real range on the first call, not after you've signed. Short version: enough to do meaningful clinical work, not so much that quality slips.

What's your supervision model and how often does it actually happen?

Weekly individual supervision with your Clinical Director. Regular case reviews with peers. Plus the hallway conversations that aren't on the calendar but tend to matter most. Supervision here isn't a 30-minute compliance check it's a working relationship.

Do you support BCBA exam study time and ACC fieldwork hours?

Yes. Our 94% first-attempt BCBA pass rate isn't an accident it's an investment. ACCs get protected study time, structured supervision under licensed BCBAs, and exam prep through our internal program. We also offer $1,000+ scholarships for team members working toward a Master's or PhD in a clinical field.

Do you sponsor visas?

Case by case it depends on the role, region, and current legal capacity. The honest answer is let's talk about it on the first call. We'd rather have an early conversation than waste your time.

Can I work part-time, hybrid, or as a contractor?

Most clinical roles are W-2 full-time, but part-time arrangements are real and common here. Hybrid varies by role direct clinical work happens in-center, while supervisory and admin time often has flexibility. Contract roles are uncommon but possible for specialized situations. Bring it up early so we can be straight with you.

When did you last review salaries and how does that work?

We review compensation annually as a structural process not when budget allows. Specifics for your role's current range come up during the offer conversation, and reviews happen on a predictable schedule once you're on the team. (Placeholder: confirm last broad clinical comp review date before publish.)

Have a question we didn't answer? Ask us directly.

Ready when you are.

Whether you've been job-searching for months or just got curious enough to read all the way down this page start a conversation with us. We'd rather have the first call now than not have it.
