Be Warmly Supported.

Parenting is not an easy job under the best of circumstances. It is even more of a challenge when you are parenting a child with special needs or a child who needs extra help to reach his or her developmental milestones. At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we believe it takes a village to raise happy, healthy, successful kids. That is why our team of pediatric neuropsychologists, occupational, physical, and speech therapists; board certified behavior analysts, social workers and academic specialists work tirelessly to support your child in achieving his goals.

See Change.

As our team of therapists work to help your child reach his therapy goals, you will begin to see remarkable changes in his skills and abilities. More importantly, you will see the happiness and confidence this brings to your child, and the peace of mind this brings to your family.

Blossom.

With the skills acquired in therapy, your child will be able to reach his potential. The skills learned will positively impact your child’s performance at school, at home and in social settings. You will see your child at his best. Your child will blossom.

What to Expect

When you call North Shore Pediatric Therapy, you will be warmly greeted by one of our highly trained Family Child Advocates will guide you through the intake process.  You will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and learn all the ways in which we can provide services for your child.  The Family Child Advocate will determine the next best step for your child. An appointment will be made for an evaluation with a therapist who best fits the needs of your child.  North Shore Pediatric Therapy has eight different disciplines, including our superb Neuropsychology team, who can help determine the best treatment plan for your child.

Our Family Child Advocate will help you navigate the insurance and billing process, and answer any questions you may have about how to discuss the evaluation and treatment plan with your child.  The Family Child Advocate is your personal liaison to your therapist and can answer any questions you may have during your time with us.  She will provide operational excellence and is focused on the needs of you and your child at all times.

  • Step Two

Every child is special and receives personalized attention.

  • Step Three

The initial appointment will begin with a brief consultation with the treating therapist, which provides you an opportunity to express concerns and ask questions. Following this meeting, the therapist will begin the evaluation process, which includes standardized assessments and clinical observations of your child.  While it typically takes up to 2 sessions for the therapist to collect all of the information needed to develop a treatment plan for your child, your child’s therapist will make recommendations and begin treatment right away.  Upon completion of the evaluation, an appointment will be made to discuss the results and establish goals. The Family Child Advocate will set up ongoing appointments, as is recommended by your therapist.  Regular attendance and communication with parents and school will produce the best results!

  • Step Four
