Susie McManus Harder is a licensed, certified speech-language pathologist who completed her undergraduate training at California State University, Fresno and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University. She has had experience in the private clinical setting with articulation, expressive language, receptive language, stuttering, voice, and social language. She also worked in the Glenview/ Northbrook school district with early childhood and elementary age children with a variety of speech-language disorders. Since graduate school, Susie has focused on becoming a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders through working with her mentor, Kristin Chmela, MA, CCC-SLP, BRS-FD. Susie is trained in the evidenced-based Lidcombe Program for young children who stutter as well as Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing (LiPS)® for reading, spelling and speech, and Visualizing and Verbalizing® for language comprehension. In addition, she has lead parent groups in the Chicago area for The National Stuttering Association. She received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education last year for exceptional continued professional study. Susie is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the Fluency Special Interest Division, and the Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association
