About Monal Patel
Monal Patel graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with her Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Prior to graduate school she attended The Ohio State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a focus on child development along with a minor in human development and family science. Monal has Occupational Therapy experience working in an acute care hospital setting with adults, an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic and a hospital setting with children aged 0-3. She also has experience in leading therapy groups in both professional and volunteer capacities, including a Chicagoland Children’s Crisis Nursery. Monal’s continued passion for Pediatric Occupational Therapy was reinforced while working privately for a family with a child with special needs, where she learned the importance of growth, collaboration and, above all else, advocacy.
