What is Early Intervention (EI)?
At North Shore Pediatric Therapy (NSPT), we believe the earlier you support a child's development, the brighter their future will be! Early Intervention (EI) services are designed to help children from birth to age 3 who may be showing signs of developmental delays or specific needs.
Our team works with your child to focus on the skills they need to grow, thrive, and succeed. We empower your family by giving you the tools and strategies to support your child's development every day.
How does in-center therapy help my child?
In-center therapy provides a structured, therapeutic environment tailored to meet your child's unique needs. Our interdisciplinary approach combines the expertise of ABA Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and more, all working together to help your child reach their full potential.
This type of therapy is ideal for children who need more frequent, targeted support, and it's offered in a setting designed to focus on individualized goals like behavior management, communication, and social skills.

We understand how important it is to start early when your child is showing signs of developmental delays. Our highly trained and compassionate therapists bring expertise directly into your home, helping your child build foundational skills that will support their growth for years to come. We don’t just work with your child; we coach you as parents, too, so you can feel confident and empowered in helping them thrive in their everyday routines.
If your child would benefit from a more structured environment, our in-center therapy offers a nurturing space where children engage in a wide range of therapies designed to meet their individual needs. Our team collaborates with families every step of the way, ensuring the right balance of professional support and family engagement.
Which Path is Right for Your Child?
Every child is unique, and at NSPT, we believe there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Whether your little one is just beginning their developmental journey and needs support with early milestones, or your child is ready for more intensive, goal-driven therapy in a collaborative environment, NSPT is here to help them reach their full potential.
Our early intervention services are offered independently, with no affiliation with the Illinois Early Intervention Program. However, our therapists have deep experience working with children of all ages, especially those 3 years old and younger. Our private practice provides a range of therapies, including speech, occupational, physical, mental health, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and autism or comprehensive neuropsychological testing, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
While both programs aim to support children's development, there are a few important differences. You should make the most appropriate and reasonable decision for your family and child’s current situation.

I cannot say enough about Northshore Pediatric Therapy. I was referred to them because they are known for having a no waitlist for a neuropsychological evaluation. From the very beginning, the staff was professional and compassionate and thorough. The evaluation process was handled with great care and sensitivity. We felt heard and supported throughout the process. We are truly grateful for the expertise and kindness shown by the entire team and highly recommend their services.
Angela is amazing and Seyi is always so excited about his weekly session. He grew so much since the first session and his preK teacher also noticed all the improvements in his fine motor skills.
Love the quick replies from the staff. Every therapist my son has is really friendly and knowledgeable. I like how they really make you feel welcome and safe with our children.
We have been extremely happy with our service at NSPT. [Our therapist] has been enthusiastic, caring, and proactive. She has focused on our goals and given us practical recommendations for helping our daughter meet developmental milestones.
