Amanda Cunningham, CCS-P is a certified coding specialist who has worked with North Shore Pediatric Therapy for 2 years. She graduated from Harper College with an associate’s degree in applied science for medical office management and also obtained an Insurance Billing Specialist certificate. She later took the national Certified Coding Specialist- Physician Based examination from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and became a certified coder. She has now continued furthering her education at National Louis University with plans to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in science for Health Care Leadership in the Winter of 2011. She has a passion for helping families understand their insurance benefits and enjoys finding ways to increase insurance reimbursement.
