We work hard to make starting treatment with NSPT as smooth a process as possible.
Here’s a breakdown of how to enroll in therapy with NSPT.
With our initial phone consult, we collect all the information we need to get you started at NSPT. This will include:
Our intake team will also take this time to walk you through your insurance benefits and answer any questions you have about what services would help your child the most.
*If you’re enrolling in ABA services, these will be set up on subsequent calls.
Please have your insurance card available for the call. If your child has already received a diagnosis from another healthcare provider, have details about that ready as well. If your provider is in our network, we’ll use this information to get details about your benefits on your behalf.
1-3 business days following your phone consult, you’ll receive an email from our billing company detailing:
After your phone consultation you’ll receive a welcome email with your registration paperwork attached. This paperwork will include:
Once you’ve completed these documents, scan and email them to your Family Child Advocate.
With all the busy work out of the way, you’ll be ready for your first visit. Your first session will be an evaluation, where your therapists will gather the information they’ll need to develop a treatment plan. Following that appointment, your NSPT team will work with you to see that treatment plan through.
What does this insurance term mean?
Deductible – This is the amount of money you pay out-of-pocket in a year before your insurance starts paying for your healthcare expenses. After you meet your deductible, you will only need to pay your co-pay or your coinsurance, depending on your policy.
Co-Pay – This is the fixed amount of money you pay per visit after you’ve met your deductible.
Coinsurance – This is the percent of the total cost of a session you pay after you’ve met your deductible.
Pre-authorization – This is a restriction placed on certain health services by your insurance company that requires your therapist to be granted permission before your plan will cover that item. (Obtaining this doesn’t guarantee that you will receive coverage for this service.)
Referral – This is a written order from your primary healthcare provider for you to receive specialized medical services. HMO insurance plans often require one to cover certain healthcare services.
How do I pay for treatment?
When NSPT charges for a service, it’ll send the bill to your insurance provider. Once they have a chance to process it, depending on your deductible and your policy, you may need to pay part or all of the balance for the session.
NSPT requires you keep an active credit card on file, which will be charged weekly for any accrued balance. Even if you have an FSA/HSA card, you will still be required to have an active credit card on file.
You can view your billing records by setting up and logging into your CentralReach client portal.
What if I don’t have an official diagnosis?
