Shana Lehar has taught for five years as a special education teacher in both the cities of Chicago, IL and Brooklyn, NY. She received her masters in special education and general education from Pace University as a New York City Teaching Fellow and won a scholarship to continue an additional year to receive a post master’s certification in Autism Teaching and Research. Shana has completed professional development studies in Lucy Calkins Writer’s Workshop model as well as in the areas of Balanced Literacy, and University of Chicago’s Everyday Math. Summer of 2010 she completed an advanced verbal behavior training with Dr. Vince Carbone and Dr. Mark Sundberg. She completed her graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Pennsylvania State University and is excited to be a member of the Northshore Pediatric Therapy ABA team!
