About Colleen O'Donnell
Colleen O’Donnell is a speech-language pathologist experienced in working with the pediatric population and a passion for helping children. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Miami University in Oxford, OH and graduated with her Master of Science Degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University. Her background includes experience in diagnostic and treatment at the FSU Clinic with children and adults, an elementary school setting in Tallahassee, FL, acute care at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL in pediatric acute care, pediatric inpatient rehabilitation, adult acute care, and the neonatal intensive care unit. In graduate school, she was awarded the Traineeship in Interdisciplinary Early Intervention in Severe Disabilities (TIES) grant through which she took additional coursework and received additional placements in the community, including at a medically fragile daycare and preschool, home visits with Early Head Start, and at a multidisciplinary clinic. She has experience in evaluation and treatment with feeding/swallowing disorders, expressive/receptive language delays and disorders, articulation, fluency, cognitive disorders, voice disorders, AAC, and hearing impairment across the lifespan. She also participated in research related to pediatric language assessment while at Florida State University and presented her poster at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Conference in Chicago. Colleen loves working on a multidisciplinary team here at NSPT and working with the child as a whole. She looks forward to meeting you and working with your family!
